High Country Camping with Pack Horses

Imagine exploring the Teton mountains without the burden of a heavy backpack. Dry Ridge Outfitters’ experienced guides and packers will meet you at a designated trail head. We'll take your gear into remote wilderness areas on pack horses. You walk (or ride) into camp with only a light day pack. We'll meet you with a pack string on a prearranged date for the return trip to town. We accommodate most camping gear.

Trip includes: Guide and pack horses. The cost is based on the number of horses used plus guide's fee. Minimum charge for three horses plus guide’s fee. Each guide is responsible for up to 4 horses. It is helpful if all gear is dropped-off the night prior to the trip to determine the number of pack horses needed. Please see our Pricing page for more details.

All individuals camping and hiking in the Targhee National Forest , Jedediah Smith Wilderness, Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks must practice good backcountry etiquette.
