Sue has been exploring and painting in Teton Valley, Idaho for over 20 years. Her background includes a BA and graduate work in art and education, teaching drawing, painting, and photography in the public school system for 18 years. In addition, she has conducted workshops in drawing and “plein aire” (outdoor) painting for adults. In 2002 she received the Governors Award in Arts Education in Idaho, and worked as a state consultant for the Idaho Commission on the Arts for three years. An artist in her own right, she has exhibited watercolors and acrylics throughout the region. Frequently exploring the high country by foot and horseback, she finds continued inspiration in the landscape in its many forms.
