Badger Creek/Rammel Mountain
3-Day Pack Trip
DAY 1
We begin our pack trip from a guest ranch on the north end of Teton Valley.
The trail traverses some forested areas of the Targhee that open up spectacular views of the Teton Range as we travel up Dry Ridge towards the Crow’s Nest. The horses won’t have any trouble finding their way down the Bear Walk trail to our lush camp near the banks of Badger Creek. Try your hand at fishing and for those brave souls, a swim in this cold but clear stream.
DAY 2
Our day ride takes us up to higher elevations along the ridge that leads to Rammel Mountain. Look south along the spine of the Tetons and down into the head-waters of Badger and Bitch Creek.
On a clear day you can see as far north as Bechler Meadow and the Pitchstone Plateau of Yellowstone. We also have the option of a day ride to Dead Horse Pass too. Don’t forget your camera!
DAY 3
Take a leisurely ride home by way of the Badger Creek trail. We’ll picnic along the creek, try a bit more fishing, and enjoy the abundant wildflowers on the south slope of the canyon. A perfect day for the completion of this pack trip.
